    fckyeaharthistory: Gustave Courbet turns 193 today, in honour and celebration of the artist birthday. Here’s one of his most iconic and striking Self-Portrait. So my three best friends all took this set of courses our senior year called Recurring Themes. It was AP Lit, AP Euro, and AP Art History. Even though I didn’t take the class, I became obsessed with a lot of the same art that they did, and this painting is one of the things we all fangirled about, hard.
